Spring Kitchen Towels

OK so this is the first time I have ever put a pattern up on my blog. If I left anything out, or messed something up, please feel free to comment and let me know. This should be fun!

What you will need-
  • 1 ball of Peaches & Cream Ombres(the orange and lime colors are great)
  • Needle size US 8/5.0mm
  • a set of stitch markers
  • darning needle

For the large towel- cast on 60 st.
Row1- K1, P1
Row2-9-knit the purl st and purl the knit st(seed st pattern)
Row11- seed st 10st, PM, knit 20, PM, Purl 20, PM seed st last 10.
Row12- seed st 10, sm, purl 20, sm, knit 20, sm, seed st last 10.
*Repeat rows 11 and 12 until you have 20 rows in the knit and purl squares.(so in total it should be 30 rows)*
Row30- Now you just do the opposite of the square below for 20 more rows.
Row50- Now just finish off with 10 rows of seed st.
bind off in pattern, then sew in ends.

**For the small towel-
The seed st borders are multiples of 5(so 5 rows at the top and bottom, and 5st on the sides)
For the middle squares they are in multiples of 10(so 10st in each row, and 10 rows to a square)
Super Simple, Right?!
